Well…lately on Tuesdays with our personal posts I’ve gone into little thought provoking convos of sorts, for this one all I have to say is this: Don’t take life seriously all the time, some time Let Loose & give life your Pirate Smile!

When we met w/Krystle, it was like catching up with an old friend! We met for coffee & ended up chatting about everything from the wedding to their pride & joy pup, Daisy.

Their wedding was filled with lots of love from out of town family & friends & it was truly a delight capturing the day for them.

We started w/their First Look. They got a limo so we could all drive around downtown & find the perfect location for their First Look. We didn’t want the “reveal” to happen just at the hotel or in the limo, so we had a little fun & blindfolded them both & did the reveal at their desired location. The limo ride was an incredible thing to experience w/them. They were so giddy & adorable!

Then we headed back to the hotel for the Ceremony prep.

And we snapped some killer shots of Krystle while we were waiting for the show to start…

Then we headed out w/Krystle’s BFF, Kat & Brad brother, Brian to do a lil celebrating…

And back for the cocktail hour & reception…

The Hilton Garden Inn let them use the balcony that was off their banquet room & we had some fun times out there throughout the night…

The cake was definitely gorgeous!

Since most of the guests were staying at the hotel, as they were, instead of an exit, they did sparklers on the balcony!

And we had to snap a group shot at the end of the day!

I know with time it becomes natural but lil ones’ their excitement seems to stay longer…something I wish I did more. It seems so often in this tech driven world, fast turn-around, give me what I want society…I don’t stay focused with zeal & drive very long. It seems that we’ve reached this place now that if something becomes less exciting, hard or we pick it up easily we then just move on to the next best thing instead of keeping that zeal & drive in that one area for a bit longer. I know for myself personally it would mean a lot more growing in different areas of my life. It’d mean I’d probably play guitar better, or piano better…who knows..I might even play the violin. It just feels to me that we’d all be a little better off if we kept the zeal & drive focused instead of just letting it die off for the next new thing.

So here’s to me & hopefully a couple others out there that are willing to try & keep the zeal & drive going in one area a little bit longer!

Like most military families with husbands that serve, the amount of photos that Daddy has with the family can sometimes be few & far between. We were so happy to get some precious shots of Eric with his girls.

Thank you Beth, Eric, Charlotte, & Anabelle for you sacrifice. We will be keeping your family in our prayers!

As I set at the table eating lunch & hanging out with family & friends I couldn’t help but smile. There wasn’t anything extravagant about the meal…grilled chicken, sauteed veggies, & mac-n-cheese..it was simple. I looked at these flowers & just the 3 of them in the vase & just thought about how beautiful they were but yet very simple. Simple or simplicity is something I think that we have gotten a little far from these days & I think it’s sad. It’s seems we are always looking for bigger & better.

Now I will be the first to admit I do long for bigger & better things at times…sure I’d like a new flat screen, could definitely see a new L-shaped sofa in the living room..& the list could go on. But you know what? I got thinking about all the things that made me happy on Sunday & it was all simple things. It was the good meal we had, it was a good time hanging out with friends, & watching my daughter walk…& these 3 flowers.

I think we’d all be a little better off if we could make a point to be happy with the simple things in life!

It’s a simple idea but it seems that few of us rarely do it. We are included in this bunch of people. It seems we are always on the go from one thing to the next. Well the other day we had a wonderful meeting with a wedding planner & potential clients *we ended up booking them…yay for 2012 bookings*. After we got done with the meeting we had some time to spare before we had to get back and pick up lil girl from the grandparents. So we stopped by this park we’ve been meaning to location scout & we decided to just be goofy.

People probably thought we were weird out on this playground grown adults running around with cameras & snapping photos of each other & sticking out our tongues…but you know what? It didn’t bother us…we were in the moment & just having fun playing together! We were there for maybe 10 minutes or so…it was scorching out and we were drenching wet with sweat by the end…but we didn’t care.

So the next time you are out & about with your spouse or the kids, just take time to play together! The amount of time doesn’t matter as much as the moment!

Brooke & I (Amber) went to high school together for a short while before I transferred schools.  Never thought we’d be shooting her wedding!

Jake is a California boy. Brooke is a Southern girl.

Jake & Brooke met while they were working at a golf course together. It’s only fitting that their wedding venue is also a golf course! Until then, here is the lovely couple!
